How to get here

  1. From Tenmonkan-dori tram stop

    • Walk straight north from the tram stop for about 200 m (3 minutes). See the route on the map above.

  2. From Kagoshima-Chuo Station (Shinkansen)

    About 8 min by tram + 3 min walk

    • At the tram stop in front of the station, take tram line 2 (for Kagoshima-ekimae) and get off at the 4th stop, Tenmonkan-dori (about 8 min). Then walk 3 minutes.
    • Trams bound for Takamibaba end one stop before Tenmonkan-dori — check the destination before boarding.
    • Pay when you get off, at the front. Cash, or a contactless credit card (tap when you board and when you get off).
    • A taxi takes about 10 minutes.

  3. From Kagoshima Airport

    About 46–50 min by bus + 3–4 min walk

    ¥1,500 adult / ¥750 child
    • Take the airport shuttle bus from stop No. 8 (Kagoshima City line) and get off at Tenmonkan (about 46–50 min). The hotel is a 3–4 minute walk from the bus stop.
    • Pay before you ride (ticket machine, or when boarding). Cash or contactless credit card.
    • Going back: the last airport bus from the Tenmonkan stop leaves at 18:20. After that, buses leave from Kagoshima-Chuo Station (last one at 19:00).

  4. To Yakushima & Tanegashima (jetfoil & ferry)

    About 19–21 min walk to the terminals
    • Toppy & Rocket jetfoil: to the Tanegashima–Yakushima jetfoil terminal (South Pier), about 19 min on foot or 7 min by taxi. About 1 h 50 m – 2 h 50 m to Yakushima.
    • Ferry Yakushima 2: to the South Pier Passenger Terminal, about 21 min on foot. About 4 hours to Yakushima. Check in at least 1 hour before departure.
    • The jetfoil and the ferry leave from different terminal buildings.

  5. To Sakurajima (Sakurajima Ferry)

    • About 18 min on foot to the Sakurajima Ferry Terminal. By tram, ride from Tenmonkan-dori to Suizokukan-guchi, then walk 5 minutes.
    • The crossing takes about 15 minutes. Ferries run from 4:00 to 23:30.
